A few small updates
I put up a new page for the Buskers album artwork I’ve done. It’s under the Portfolio tab on the top menu, but if you want a direct link.
The WordPress platform has changed a lot in the last two years, to the point that I struggled a bit with putting that page up today. I’ve been thinking for a while of contacting someone I know who has more experience coding a site to give some pointers, especially in the area of a redesign. Not a complete redesign, but something to spruce it up a little (customized header buttons, for one).
I’m also planning, though I haven’t done so yet, to completely shut off the comments section. You may not see it here on the front end, but this site gets a lot of spam comments that I have to filter through, and I’m sick of going through the sea of obvious spam to try to find the one legit comment.
Buskers – Maiden Voyage
Lately, I’ve been working on more music. This is a video I made recently for one of the songs I’ve been working on.
Short doc about me
Recently, I had a friend of mine shoot a short documentary piece about me, namely some of the struggles I’ve been going through. The video is below. Share with all your friends.
Portfolio Update
I have put up some new images under the comic pages section of my portfolio. Be sure to check it out when you get the chance.
No, I’m not dead.
I realize that I haven’t posted anything on this site since July of last year, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy. I was at Milwaukee Zine Fest again last November, and I have posted a portfolio of my work from the Racine Zoo under Portfolio, plus I am working on some other projects as well. I am the kind of person that doesn’t like to show anything until it is finished or near finished, but I wanted to at least update anyone on what I’m currently working on:
-I am still working on Drannik & Lizzep #7, but it is taking me a lot longer than I thought it would. I have finished the second chapter, and am starting work on the final chapter because I want to get the ending down before I work on the rest of the story. Basically, what Jeff Smith did for Bone.
-I will be releasing an album of music in the next while or so. I just have to get the mixes approved from my audio engineer friend before I make that public. In the meantime, that will appear on my Bandcamp page: buskers.bandcamp.com
-I am also, on the side, compiling a collection of my old Negligence comics from years ago into a new book collection.
There are other things I’m working on as well, but these are my main projects at the moment. Just a quick update this time.
Updates and website status
I have not posted anything on this site in a long time, mostly for various personal reasons, but also because I never intended this site to be any sort of blog. However, I can at least mention a few things that have happened in the meantime:
-I recently got a job as a graphic design intern at the Racine Zoo. I may even post some of my work on here once I get the okay to do so.
-Drannik & Lizzep #7 is still being worked albeit at a slow pace.
-I’ve been working on an album of music for the past two months. I plan on releasing a demo of one of the songs from it soon. In the meantime, this is a lyric video I did for one of those songs:
Updates, updates, and more updates
So, it has been a while since the last post. I have done some site cleanup, including updating the resume on the About page, fixing the Links page (some of the links went to dead sites), and adding new pieces to the Portfolio section (specifically, the Comic Pages section). Speaking of which:
Updates on Drannik & Lizzep #7, plus other news
It has been a while since the last post, so I think it’s time for some updates.
Artistic Expressions – July 12th
I will be selling my comics at The Coffee House at Chestnut and Pine in Burlington WI from 11am to 2pm, so stop on by, buy some books, check out the other artists, the usual spiel.
